I am off to Africa in January!

I spent time in Africa in 2019 and have since continued a friendship with a girl from a village. Though she comes from nothing, she truly understands having everything in Christ. Over the years, I have helped provide financially so her family could purchase pigs. The pigs have went on to not only feed her family, but some of her village as well. Daily she preaches the Gospel to the surrounding villages and sends me testimonies of those accepting Christ, receiving healing, and even people giving up alcohol addiction or their witchcraft practices.

Covid hit her community very hard. Not only did some people die of starvation, or leave them homeless, but she said many young girls have since come forward to her having experienced sexual assault as a result of being confined to small spaces with their families.

Our heart behind this trip is to support my friend after she has been labouring for the Lord by herself. To equip her with resources to help her disciple those she leads to the Lord and help her understand how to read the Bible.

Someone has generously donated land in her village. We plan to assist her in building farming structures to house not only the piglets, but also to add a chicken coop and vegetable garden. This is with the hope that the community farm will not only sustain them with food, but go on to produce an abundance to be sold at markets for an income.

As sexual brokenness is very close to my heart, we intend on spending time listening, praying, and providing resources to the young girls who have been violated.

We have a videographer joining us on this trip. The hope is to document the reality of missions and how God is moving even in little villages in deep Africa.

A modest budget for this trip is $3750. This is for airfare, accommodations, and all material that is needed for the community farm and Biblical resources.

By giving to the goal of $3750, you are helping create a sustainable food and income for an entire village, helping provide support and resources for girls that have experienced sexual brokenness, and helix further the Gospel and discipleship in Africa.
