Hi, my name is Vex Lionheart. I am a 32-year-old transgender man who recently had to make an emergency move from Texas to another state. Originally, I thought it would be okay since a friend offered to pay for my ticket, but unfortunately, it turned into a domestic violence situation. After leaving, I found temporary housing through Airbnb and was able to connect with an apartment. However, the area where I am located requires a vehicle, and I only have a motorcycle license. This has made finding a job in Brownsville, Pennsylvania extremely difficult. If I had a vehicle, it would be easier for me to find employment, but my finances are strained, and as an undergraduate student, I need a job that won't affect my schooling.
What I'm trying to convey is that I need help building a good foundation for myself. Unfortunately, I am about to be late on my $700 rent payment, and I've been considering purchasing a covered mobility scooter. The scooter would be beneficial since I am autistic and it has heat and AC, it would also get me from point A to point B. The cheapest one I've found is around $8,000, which means I need a total of almost $9,000. Being a transgender man has placed several obstacles in my life, and I am doing my best, but unfortunately, my best isn't enough right now. I am hoping for your help. Thank you.
