Make a family reunion possible

I have been physically separated from my spouse and 2 young children since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. My family and I had originally planned several months before the COVID-19 pandemic that I would return to the USA then my spouse and children would join me here as soon as financially possible.

I purchased a return flight to the USA several weeks before the cancelation of all international flights by government mandate. The ticket I purchased was scheduled to depart the same day that all flights were canceled by the government due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Shortly after this it was declared that only government sponsored return flights to the USA would be available until after the COVID-19 pandemic.

When I was finally allowed a seat on one of the last government sponsored flights about 8 weeks later I was forced to accept a loan for the cost of the flight from the federal government, even though others who had no pre-existing travel plans were given free government sponsored flights ahead of me. The cost of this flight was about $3600 while the original ticket that I had bought several weeks before the COVID-19 restrictions were declared was only about $300. To make matters worse the government has stamped my passport valid for return to the USA only, thus not allowing me to leave the USA until I repay the loan.

Unfortunately things have not went well for me financially during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. I am hoping to receive support to repay the loan I was forced to accept and get the restriction removed from my passport. This will allow me to be reunited my spouse and 2 young children. Any funds I receive above the $3600 loan repayment amount will be used to further make the reunion with my family possible. Thank you. God bless.
