Hi, my name is Emily, and I am a Seattle resident traveling in Bucerías, Mexico. I have become invested in saving an abandoned "4-pack" of pups left to die in the streets of Ixtapa. A temporary guardian/foster mom has graciously put a roof over their head while I found homes for the little ones. My NextDoor post went viral in the Seattle-Alki area, and I found new homes, adopters, fosters, and rescue organizations to help. We need to figure out to get these pups to Seattle on Saturday, September 16. There are minimal direct flights to Seattle, so I decided to take the last one available on Alaska Airlines. The staff I spoke to is extraordinarily empathetic and excited to help! Please read Shirley's post to read this heartbreaking story.

Here is what we have handled so far, and here is what is needed:

1. All dogs will return with their proper travel certifications; they have also had deworming and vaccines, internal and external exams, blood work, and necessary medication for fleas and ticks. A few neighbors, future families, and I have supplied funding for the veterinarian work and food (with high protein and probiotics), chew toys, blankets, cleaning supplies, poop bags, filtered water, chicken breast, and rice.

2. The next task is getting them home :) In just two days. Crates and carry-ons ARE needed; I can get these at Walmart or a local pet store. I must purchase it tomorrow at the latest, and I will confirm TSA approval.

Itinerary and cost breakdown:

9-16-2023 Alaska Flight 1383 Non-stop from PVR- SEA (landing at 8:15 pm)

We have to purchase two cabin tickets due to limited space in cargo.

Two cabin tickets = $433.68. The two smallest dogs ride with me in the cabin. Their names are Manny (1-2 months old) and Bella (5 months old)

Cabin dogs cost an extra $100 each. $200 covers Manny and Bella.

The cargo dogs are "Oso," about 11 months old, and Bella's brother (he doesn't have a name yet). These two dogs will cost $150/each + their dog crates. $300 will cover the cargo ticket and TBD on crate costs.

The total travel cost for this rescue operation is $933.68

I can put this on a debit card to ensure we reserve this flight and seats ASAP since I will leave in 48 hours.

Any contributions will help. God Bless all the kind people who have helped adopt, organize, call, email, and love these beautiful little souls. If there is a surplus from donations, I'd be happy to arrange a donation from our community to a rescue organization in Mexico or Seattle.
