Last August David's liver disease started getting worse. He was in and out of the hospital during the Fall with one of those times being 5 1/2 weeks including a week in ICU after vomiting blood. At one point he spent several days on the ventilator. Since then, he's been home going to his doctor appointments and accomplishing meeting the requirements he needs for a liver transplant. He has many Paracentesis during all of this.
Then on Sunday I took back to the ER due to the fact that he was having trouble breathing and hadn't urinated in over 12 hours. They have confirmed that he has pneumonia, which is the reason for the breathing issue. They admitted him and took 5.2 liters of fluid off his abdomen and 2 liters off of his lungs. They are working on healing him from the pneumonia and getting the fluid off of his legs. He will be in the hospital a few more days at this point.
