A fire that happened in my truck from being hot wired. My whole dash is melted and interior is ruined. I had to spray with jet nozzle to get fire out. I don't have comprehensive coverage so I have no coverage.

A man tried to steal my truck and in doing so he either shorted it trying to hot wire it or he intentionally set off a fire when i saw him in my drivers seat and ran out to my truck to stop him from stealing it. My dash is completely melted and I almost wasn't able to get fire out. See the photos. I start a new job with Fed Ex next week and my truck can't be driven and is going to be totaled. I still owe $10k on it to Travis Credit Union. I don't have Comprehensive coverage so not only am I without a vehicle, I still have to pay off the remaining $10k and at 60 years old having to leave for work 3 hours early taking the bus and bart. This is the most devastating thing that has ever happened to me. Prior to this incident I had 3 tires slashed in my driveway on two different occasions. Tires are $250 a piece. Are neighborhood is ravaged with vandalism and stolen vehicles EVERY night. I loved my truck and I am sick about this. The only thing I can do is stand at the end of the freeway off ramps with a donation sign. I don't have any money to put down for a used car and don't have good enough credit for a no money down loan. I am hoping that I can raise $5000 for another vehicle. It would help me out so much and I would pay it forward in return. I am probably wasting my time doing this but I don't know what else to do. Thanks for reading.
